Aims & Values
Our School's aims and values.
Our vision for the school centres on the belief that every child has the entitlement to the very best education that we can offer in a happy, caring environment.
To support this ethos, We have a very hard working and committed team of people, who always put the care of the individual child to the forefront.
In 2015 we joined the North Star Teaching Alliance, we are very active members of this alliance and look to them for training and development of our staff at all levels.
Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School aims to provide every child with a suitably challenging and broad education that focuses on the key areas of Literacy and Numeracy.
In order to achieve this:
The school environment will be happy and caring and each child will be equally valued.
Teaching and Learning will be based upon the National Guidance for the Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum and the Agreed Syllabus for RE with an emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy in Key Stage 1 and 2.
Opportunities will be provided to develop the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding.
Personal, social, health and citizenship education will be included within the curriculum.
School staff will strive to improve the provision by implementing a continuous programme of development.
Parents and members of the community will be encouraged to take a full and active role in school life.
Children will be provided with a stimulating environment and encouraged to become responsible and co-operative members of the community.
Opportunities for learning will be enhanced through the provision of extra-curricular activities.
