School Leaders

At Kirkbymoorside, we encourage all our children to take on roles and responsibility. These can be from group to class to whole school.

We are proud to share with you our current School Leaders and Representatives

We have two House Captains for each of our school houses - Tulip (Yellow), Juniper (Blue), Cherry (Red) and Oak (Green).  Our House Captains are in charge of leading their houses in events and team activities throughout the year.

Our House Captains for 2022/23 are:

Tulip - Sophie Maxwell, Seth Shaw

Juniper - Isabelle Jefferson, Benji Lam

Oak - Erica Kaufman, Edward Russell

Cherry - Phoebe Langdale, Oliver Hepton

Our School Council compromises of two children from each of our classes from Reception to Year 6.  They have a very important role in school: making decisions on which charities to support, choosing playtime equipment and organising Kirkby's Got Talent

Our Sports Leaders are volunteers from Year 6 who organise and run sports-related activities during lunch times to entertain the rest of the school.  They plan a range of activities that the children can join in with every day of the week.

Our Digital Leaders, from Year 6, are in charge of making sure all our computers are working correctly and charging when not in use.  They deliver and collect the computers to classes for Computing sessions and can even help out as assistants if needed.

We have two Eco Warriors from each KS2 class who share and present ideas to the rest of the school about how we can help the environment; this can be anything from recycling to raising awareness of how to look after our community.  They are key members in our Environmental Club which runs once a week.
